Where this came from

Ten or fifteen years ago, in a shop in London, we ran something that never quite had a name. You'd turn up, buy four boosters, build out of whatever you opened, and then just challenge whoever was around to a single quick match. No fixed rounds, no waiting for a bracket — the event simply ran, and you dropped in and out of it as you liked.

It was the most fun I've had with this game, and it was good for the shop and the people in it too. But it only ever existed because a few of us kept it alive by hand, on paper. Nobody else could just pick it up and run it.

That's what this is. The same format, given a structure any shop can run without someone tracking scores in a notebook — join codes, matches players report and confirm themselves, Elo that updates as you go, and booster unlocks handled automatically as you take losses.

Who's behind it

I'm Andrea "Tita" Bolognese — I work as an illustrator under Tita's Tales, and as Titartwork I'm one of the alter artists on Mythic Gaming / Alter Sleeves, where I've been doing hand-altered sleeve work for years.

I've been playing Magic for somewhere between twenty and twenty-five years. So this isn't a tool built by someone who read about the game — it's built by someone who's been at the table, and behind the art, for most of it.

I built this because I wanted the format I loved in London to be something any shop could offer properly, instead of it living and dying with the group that invented it.
